Leland Lake Superior Iron Company, found along the shores in Leland, Michigan. This industrial waste, containing impurities from iron ore, was dumped into Lake Michigan and has been rounded into various colored stones by the lake's waves. While blue is the most coveted color, it also appears in green, purple, and gray hues and is sought after by collectors and jewelry makers.
